"I'm sorry if your life is going to be hard," Minato whispered and tucked in the still asleep baby. The scroll lit up into a bright light that tattooed the child's stomach with the spell's insignia. A candle was lit at each end of the scroll as Minato chanted the kotodama, incantation, for the spell. He laid a scroll across the boy's stomach and wrote a sealing spell onto it. As soon as the child went back to sleep, Minato cut his fingertips and ran his blood along those stripes. Minato carefully lifted the half - awake child and swung him back and forth. The baby was blonde like Minato but had three stripes that cut across each of his cheeks and seemed almost like scars. "Am I not the best?" Minato vainly asked the baby. The nurse gave one final bow as she exited the room. Minato gave a self - glorifying laugh and nodded agreeingly.
